ABOUT KATHERINE

I am an LPC and EMDR trained therapist in the Edmond and Oklahoma City metro area. My work is inclusive of all race, gender, spiritual beliefs and sexual orientation. I specialize in working with adult individuals suffering with PTSD and trauma-related issues. I also work with those dealing with grief, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem issues and more. I utilize a holistic and mindfulness-based approach, emphasizing the connection between the mind, emotions, and physical body. I focus on empowering you with effective tools you can use both inside and outside of our sessions.
I use EMDR therapy with those wanting to address specific issues such as trauma, anxiety, or grief. EMDR is an integrated psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. It addresses the emotions and negative beliefs we develop as a result of trauma, as well as where we store that emotional energy in our body. EMDR is wonderful for anyone who has tried talk therapy but still experiences unwanted symptoms.
In addition to EMDR, I also have training in energy psychologies, EFT, and mindfulness. These are tools that are helpful for people of all spiritual beliefs, and can be very beneficial in conjunction with EMDR.
